Grateful to spend the evening sharing with Southside Church in Athens, GA. Such a beautiful time with Jesus! God is blessing their ministry as they reach so many lives in their community. Such an honor to be part of that this week.
Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but a longing fulfilled is like a tree of life.” Something you’re hopeful for may have been postponed, but keep praying without ceasing even if you’re heartsick - don’t lose hope. It will come to pass in Gods way on Gods time (Isaiah 55:8). We get heartsick when we think that what we’ve hoped for is delayed; that it’s never going to happen. Hope deferred means “not yet - it doesn’t mean “never”. Keep your hope through the valley of postponement. Just because you don’t see Gods plan doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a plan. Could it be that just because it doesn’t make sense to you you’ve thrown your hope away? Reset your hope back to God and not the process; God is working on something. I’m praying that this is a year of harvest, a year where the repeat prayer requests change from a heartsick delayed hope to a longing fulfilled. (Prov 13:12)
