Luke 9:62 The Message version reads, “No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day.” It’s my life verse. the original “seize the day” – carpe diem. how many times in our lives do we pass someone by who needs our help, needs Jesus, or just a hand to get back on their feet? For me, luke 9:62 establishes a path, a way, a course. it’s a direction to live your daily life in and a reminder that we must not be procrastinators when it comes to the kingdom. These red-lettered words are meant to carve out the description of our faith and how we are to respond to those who need Jesus. Love all, serve all and share your Jesus with all – no procrastination, no looking back, and not putting God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize this day, today.
